Jennifer made her first attempt to be the first woman to swim the Atlantic earlier that year.

Jennifer sends a message to all the Expats she met on Sal Island prior to her first swimming fete across the Atlantic.......from Cape Verde to the US.

Jennifer is back next week (13th April 2010) to get ready to make the swim again........

Jennifer writes: I am flying into Praia, and from there to Sao Vicente and Mindelo to meet up with my crew in the harbor....sorry to miss you and Sal on this trip!

The boat and crew of Jamie are leaving the Canaries to meet me down there in Mindelo. The start of the crossing will be from Brava, and the date will be dependent on weather.

I dream about returning to Sal someday...there is just something about it!

Let everyone know that I will be watching out for my turtle, that hatched in August, named "Atlantic". You know I have not had a response from the 2 messages in a bottle, so it is time to toss in another...next week!
